Saurabh Sonawala has an illustrious career that spans over 25 years in the IT and technology sectors. He holds a B. Tech from IIT Madras and an M.S. from the University of Washington. His early professional experience includes significant roles at Tektronix Inc and Digital Equipment Corp (now HP).

Since then, he has been at the helm of the Information Technology Division, expanding his management role to oversee other technology ventures within Hinditron from 2005. Under his leadership, Hinditron has partnered with global technology leaders to deliver cutting-edge solutions in supercomputing, scientific computing, and other high-tech fields. Notably, Hinditron was the first Indian technology company to hold an IPO in 1988 and has since seen substantial growth, including successful exits through IPOs or acquisitions.
Additionally, Saurabh is a partner at Lotus Capital, a boutique investment and advisory firm specializing in cross-border opportunities between the US and India. Lotus Capital offers a comprehensive range of services including M&A, capital raising, and India entry services, focusing on mid-market firms seeking to expand in or collaborate with partners in the Indian and US markets.
Saurabh's deep involvement in Indo-US trade is marked by his roles as a founder director of the U.S. India Importers’ Council and a member of the Western India Council of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
